SERVICE TERMS & POLICIES

By booking an appointment with Massage Arts NYC / Les Mains LLC, you confirm reading, understanding, and accepting the following policies:

SERVICE POLICY:

  • Each session is supposed to last the exact amount of time for which it was paid and you will be accommodated at the exact time slot, although if you are late for your appointment your session will be shortened and will stop at the original end time. In most cases, it can not be extended due to other clients' accommodation. So please arrive on time.

  • Please fill up the medical history intake form before your arrival and send it back or arrive 10 minutes earlier and do it in our office. due to the fact that we are medical professionals we are obligated to collect the information for your health protection. 

  • We comply with HIPAA and your information is confidential

  • Please make sure that you booked the right service which you are seeking to receive as only some therapists are trained and certified in specific modalities. Please read the descriptions of the services we offer. 

AGE POLICY:

  • All clients 16 years old and below must be accompanied by their legal guardians/parents and the intake form and medical history form have to be signed by both parties.

  • We accept senior clients although if the person has a problem with understanding tasks or legal documents we ask a legal guardian to help with the intake form and signature.

PAYMENT POLICY:

  • Credit card payments are required during the online booking and will be immediately charged. If you decide to pay cash on the spot, the credit card payment will be refunded. Your card will be charged immediately. 

  • We do not accept any health insurance. All services will be charged 100% price but we may give a receipt upon request on which base insurance company may refund you the full session price or part of it. Please ask your insurance provider

PRICE POLICY & GRATUITY:

  • All present prices are available on our website although they are subject to change over time.

  • We reward referrals with points for the next appointment 10% for each referred person. We do not offer cash but 1 free session after 10 referrals.

  • We appreciate the time you took to write an honest review and for that will thank you with a 20% discount for your next appointment.

  • Early morning or late appointments: Appointments before 9 am and after 9 pm will result in a $15 extra charge.

  • Gratuity is NOT included in the price of the session. If you wish to leave a tip as appreciation for the service you received you may pre-pay gratuity at your checkout page while booking or you may bring cash or send Venmo payment directly to the therapist after the treatment.


REFUND POLICY:

  • If you do not reschedule/cancel your appointment on time 24 hours or earlier prior to the service time the payments are non-refundable, non-transferable, and non-disputable.

  • In the case of a no-show, the therapist will decide whether will reschedule your session or not. 

  • Please communicate with the therapist. Many of the providers went to the same school but over time they developed different styles of massage. None of the therapists work the same way so your experience with the previous person may be completely different. Please read the description of our therapists and what style and dynamics of treatment they provide. 

  • If you are unhappy with the therapist or treatment please tell him/her in the first 15 minutes of the session. If there is another therapist available will try to accommodate you, if not then will reschedule your session. If you decide to stay longer despite being not satisfied then the session is non-transferable, non-changeable, and non-refundable.

  • If you do not like conversation or music during the treatment, or the temperature isn't pleasant please let the therapist know so we can make your day better.


PACKAGES & GIFT CERTIFICATES:
 

  • All packages and gift certificates purchased in advance are nonrefundable but may be used for any service within 6 months of the original purchase date.

  • Please be aware that a no-show for the appointment booked with a gift certificate will result in losing the session. Look at the policy above.


RESCHEDULING | CANCELATION POLICY | NO-SHOW POLICY:


We understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life but in our desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored: 

  • In case you reschedule/cancel your appointment less than 24 hours before the start of the session, you will be charged 100% of the session unless you send in a doctor's note or proof of emergency. In that case, you will have the possibility to reschedule the appointment 1 time at no charge although there is no refund.

  • If you book your appointment less than 24 hours in advance then you are responsible for the full price of the service regardless if you receive it, cancel, or reschedule.

  • If you decide to change the hour of the session on the day of your appointment you will be responsible for 50% of the original appointment charge and 100% of your new session as we will not be able to fill up the slot. 

  • All pre-paid sessions with therapeutic follow-up (as the therapist requested) as well as all packages purchased in advance are nonrefundable but may be used for any service within 6 months of the original purchase date while cancelation, rescheduling, and no-show policy still applies.

  • Anyone who either forgets or consciously chooses to not show up to their appointment for whatever reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged the full amount for their missed appointment.


LATE ARRIVALS POLICY:

  • If you arrive late, your session may be shortened in order to accommodate other clients whose appointments follow yours. Your session is booked for a particular length at a particular time slot so please plan your time accordingly. If the therapist will decide to go over time please understand that this is a courtesy, not a responsibility.


RESPONSIBILITY & LIABILITY POLICY:

  • By booking an appointment through our website or over the phone you understand, that "Massage Arts NYC", Les mains, LLC as well as the owner/founder/president Marieta Szymura are not responsible for any conditions, complications, injuries, accidents, or damages, that may occur before, during or after the service when completed by another therapist. All practitioners are personally responsible for the services they provide. 

  • We urge you to fill out our medical history intake form as that is for your health protection and may be used in a legal manner. If you forget or don't disclose any disease, surgery, condition, or medication you will be responsible in case of any injuries which may occur.

  • If you need a doctor's referral or permission for our treatment please make sure that you bring it with you.
